The name Gdo̠ Lët Gri is derived from the Goblin language, as Gdo̠ Lët Gri was founded by Brukzarn, who was culturaly Wood Elf.
Climate
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Gdo̠ Lët Gri receives an average of 75 cm/y (29 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Gdo̠ Lët Gri covers an area of nearly 10 km2 (4 mi2), and an average elevation of 4084 m (13398 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Gdo̠ Lët Gri was founded durring the late 13th century in spring of the year 1162, by Brukzarn. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gdo̠ Lët Gri is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri is is constructed arround a series of narrow paverstone mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The city emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The city's minimaly adiquite are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the citys defences.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Gdo̠ Lët Gri ’s existence has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The locals seem to have responded to their slow downfall by recreating Gdo̠ Lët Gri as one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which the city brings to mind.
Civic Infrastructure
Gdo̠ Lët Gri possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Gdo̠ Lët Gri. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Gdo̠ Lët Gri's parks.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Gdo̠ Lët Gri.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a government-funded child care program, overseen by the local Department of Nursemaids, which is responsible for providing childcare to working-class citizens according to local ordinances.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Gdo̠ Lët Gri's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Gdo̠ Lët Gri's natural decorations nor waterways.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is recurring in Gdo̠ Lët Gri.
The Snallygaster near Gdo̠ Lët Gri are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.
Gdo̠ Lët Gri's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves gestures to channel Invocation energies of tier 1 via recitation of scripture.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Gdo̠ Lët Gri was struck by a devistating earthquake. The quake brought ruin to Gdo̠ Lët Gri, which lost 151 people, 259 livestock, and 69 buildings in the earthquake. The day of the quake is remembered by many as Heartbreak's Day.
